Almond

It is the meat found inside the pit of a dry fruit related to peaches. Almond nut has a pointed, oval shape. It is available in many forms: natural (skin on), blanched (skin off), whole, sliced, slivered, ground, chopped. Almonds can be used in baking in many ways, for example almond flour as a substitute for wheat flour, almond slivered for decoration, and as flavor contributor.
